The wind blasted throughout the UK this week and my journey up was very slow. I was grateful that the van was heavily loaded to hold it down against the wind.
The greenhouse faces the Firth of Forth - you can see the ridge pointing directly out to the sea.
These are VERY tough greenhouses ready for whatever the weather wants to throw at it - 4mm toughened glass held in rebated and jointed timber. I also added a central A-frame of 4x2 timber with a horizontal tie jointed in and further horizontal supports beneath all rafters. This will help greenhouse cope with potential snow loads.
All the windows and doors are constructed with traditional mortice and tennoned joints giving them strength and stability.
Wonderful message from my customer who is enjoying the greenhouse so much he's almost moved in.
"Hey Robin - great time seeing you last week, Fantastic job, Haven't slept in it you, but getting close to."
