My painting shed is really taking shape now.
I've been careful to only sneak time on it over the weekends so I can crack on with the real work of building your greenhouses. It's currently got 3 partly built greenhouses inside my shed - a 'Mike' in Breakfast Room green, an 'Yvonne" in Lulworth Blue and this one in Vert De Terre....
The video of my painting shed inspired someone to ask for one similar - so I'm off to Portishead to build a greenhouse with attached shed clad in wany edge Cedar.
This one has to be tough - in Inverness and it's right on the coast and might be coping with snow loads on the roof for 3 months of the year.
I partly built the roof structure back at the workshop before doing all the detailed work.
Once on site I added horizontal support members to each rafter which are jointed in to the structure to prevent any potential sag in the rafter or ridge caused by over-loading.
I also added long lead cover flashings over the roof windows to prevent wind-blown water ingress around the hinge joint.
