And here is the finished building. I’m glad to say my customers were delighted with the finished greenhouse, and so am I. It looks wonderful in this setting. Gail and Trevor are now going to design and build a series of raised beds and paths leading to and around the greenhouse. And here I am again...... enjoying a home-made mince pie that Gail kindly brought me on the second day.
Happy Christmas to you all!

Video Diary - set over 3 days.
In the week that the “weather bomb” hit Scotland I was down in Truro in the wind, rain and mud building another greenhouse base.
I’ve put together a video diary of my 3 days here. I thought it might be interesting to show what gets done during my first visit to build a greenhouse.
The completed base measures 3.7m by 2.5m wide with high-level internal raised beds (yet to be filled with soil here) and a large cold frame running down the length of one side wall.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been catching up on some promises I have made to good friends - only working at the weekends of course and mostly using materials I already had in stock or left over from previous jobs. I built this really small greenhouse / large cold-frame (?) as a present for my good friend Sags - using surplus glass I already had.
Seed box / planting organiser.Tree House So you’ve got a wendy house, and a tree.... can’t we just put the two together! Sometimes I should keep quite when a friend comes with that sort of problem, but we got it up there on a stable platform in one day. A new gate for my dad’s house...made from oak of course. Art studio installation This one was / is a biggie - fitting out a room with major storage units for my artist friend Lisa Carter. To keep the all the costs to a minimum I used shuttering plywood for everything - display racks, tool storage, wall shelves, re-covering a table to create a workbench Finally I’ll also build a plan drawer cabinet from hardwood ply but Lisa will have to wait until I get another weekend free in January for that. UPDATE...5TH JANPlan chest done so I can tick that job off the list too now.
