“Serious” / professional gardeners often tell me that you can’t have a greenhouse big enough - and it’s true that the larger sizes are the most popular. However, I only have a smallish greenhouse myself and even at it’s most productive I don’t find myself needing more space.
This greenhouse is small but the sides are going to be very tall and I will be fitting 3 levels of staging on one side and 2 tier shelves on the other, with a workstation at the far end. I’ve also built quite a tall brick-sided raised bed inside and we’ve got drainage holes at the front through the brickwork to prevent it holding water. I’ll be back here in only 3 weeks to install the top section and complete the job. Wonderful, beautiful location and, again, a couple of generous, warm-hearted customers - I feel very fortunate to come across such great people all the time.

The customer needed something really bespoke - to make the most of their great garden wall. You can see the plans I drew up by following this link to the first visit where I dug out the foundations and laid the path and built the walls.
This one cost the owner around £7,000 for me to build and that includes everything you see - from the foundations to the finials - and all the acres of shelving inside.
Why so much cheaper than the competition - because I do it all myself - including hand turning the finials on the lathe - and I love this job - thanks for buying folks. |
