Yeh! - it’s about time I got back to Watford! Thanks Lindsay for being so patient with me during this busy time.

This greenhouse is small and understated but it’s one of my favourites - it’s uncluttered with shelving (Lindsay wouldn’t let me fill it up) and at only 2.5m high it’s a squirt!

But the finished greenhouse is classy with clean smooth lines and no fussy details.

So what’s it going to look like with a load of messy soil and plants spilling all over the place then?

Superb....like putting a picture frame around them!

I really like the way it goes so well with the other buildings in the garden.

I am particularly chuffed with the final finish I managed to achieve on this one - it’s like one nice blob of cream.....

Knutsford - Replacing like for (REALLY) like!

I’m so excited about this one. There used to be a large wooden greenhouse on this site and the old clay flooring still existed underneath all the rubble.

I cleared out all the debris and removed a few rows of tiles so I could dig down and create a concrete foundation to the size of the new structure.

I’m going to connect the end gable of this greenhouse to the wall of the house. The porch and cold frames will face onto the rest of the large garden.

I salvaged enough tiles to complete tiling the new porch and still retain a nice pathway around the building.

When I return to erect the greenhouse I’ll clean off all the tiles properly (with brick acid and power hose)- and the dark red and slate grey tiles should match that of the walls.

I added an extra band of grey engineering bricks to the top of the wall to echo the design of the bricks in the main house - I want this greenhouse to look part of the original property.

Hopefully this greenhouse will look as though it’s always been there.
