This will forever be known as the "Lizzie" greenhouse - who wanted me to build a small greenhouse, tough enough to withstand this coastal location, with plenty of opening windows to keep it cool, on a small footprint but tall and with a shed at the back so she didn't have to keep going to the garage to put all her gardening tools away each day.
I'm really happy to say we made a beauty here. Insulating the shed makes it a cool, comfortable space - a real contrast to step into from the heat of the greenhouse.
There is so much detail in this small structure - mahogany crested ridge, lathed finials, 7 opening windows (4 automatic), cedar cladding, generous cold-frames, 2 mortice and tennoned doors with 4 lever locks, 3-tier shelving, toughended glass throughout and the shed roofed in epdm.

It looks magnificent and is getting lots of compliments and our friends have been watching on your blog. "Having a unique greenhouse/shed named after you is the most original thing I've ever heard, and very fitting, too!! He's obviously a good video-maker as well as a master "green bug". Great video, and I liked the way the neighbour boys got a (literal) look-in, too!" Moving in is going very slowly as we don’t want to dirty it. However last night and even now we have had our first rain and can confirm it is waterproof! Your Guild questionnaire was sent off yesterday with all the right boxes ticked and suitable comments reflecting that of a Master Craftsman. Hopefully see you soon with a deco door on board.
