I spent 2 days here and enjoyed every minute. In the quiet times, and before the gates opened, I got around to drawing up plans for those waiting for quotes. I'll try to get these off in the post in the next few days.
Definitely coming here again next year.

Green Bug will be erecting a greenhouse on site at Woodfest in a couple of weeks time. Please come along and say hello if you are able. It's an excellent, family-friendly festival just off the A55 in Caerwys, North Wales with crafts, great food, live music - and everything you could want about wood. Spread over 30 acres the festival showcases a variety of wood related activities, crafts and forest industries. Timber professionals and competitors from around the world come together to compete in a range of skilled competitions. Pole climbing, chainsaw carving, axe racing, wood chopping and logging skills, extreme mountain biking WoodFest Rocks music festival and much more!
Steve is a builder - entirely able to build his own base for this greenhouse but we also discussed my supplying all the timber and glass in a kit form for his to erect the greenhouse on site himself. I spent just under 2 days with Steve and his wonderful wife and we had a lot of fun & good conversation but I can safely say he was very relieved not to have to do the work himself. Given that I have to transport everything anyway I'm not sure it would have made that much difference to the price. Please note the way the glass is arrised smootly at the corners by Pearsons Glass - my suppliers - and the angled cuts at the ends to push the away from the timber into the gutting. The 3 coats of Profilan Impra Opac paint throughout (4 coats to the mahogany crested ridge) should mean you won't have to reapply again for 10 years. This greenhouse was constructed using premium grade tanalised pine timber (not accoya for a change!).
I am so delighted with the finish of this greenhouse, and it's great to know Bob is so happy as well. |
