Please ignore the mud on these photos! The rain persisted for 3 out of the 4 days that I was here. Thankfully the one day it didn’t rain I worked very late and managed to get all the glass sealed up. We got there in the end!

Thanks to my kind customers. I was made to feel very welcome and brought warming cups of tea and biscuits and really enjoyed my time here despite the conditions - many thanks folks.

The last day was great fun - the rain pelted down again but I was warm and dry inside just adding the finishing touches with wood filler and the odd touch-up dab of paint.

I’ve done plenty of this size as you can see on this website it’s definitely my most popular. This one is painted in Old White colour (see Farrow and Ball colour chart) and it really works at making it look at home with the other buildings. Give it a few months for the grass to grow and it will look like it’s been here forever.

Before...

After.

I live in North Wales and we’re a pretty friendly bunch up here but everyone I met - from my customers, the staff at Jewsons, the bloke in the corner shop and my B&B had just the kindest friendly attitude - and the weather was horrible.
Imagine what they are like on sunny days!

Thanks Paul and Julie for a great time.

Paul and Julie saw the Grimsby job (click here to see the information on that) and wanted the same but with a cold frame along one side.

Nice to get some sunshine on the last afternoon. These are new bricks but they are a really expensive heritage style and it’ll look like this greenhouse has been here for ever once it’s finished. None of that 70’s-style red brick walling for our greenhouses!

Work in progress.
Digging out the trench for the foundations to find the ‘level’ and ‘square’. Got the gazebo out as the rain started and it rained for much of the visit.

Next week - back to Southampton. ....now the van is running well again!
