Miriam has quite a large rear garden but wanted her greenhouse to fit just right into this corner. The gate you can see opposite leads through to the raised beds of vegtables and fruit plants.
The rest of the rear garden is playing space for her young children and the strong construction and toughened glass in my greenhouses mean they are perfectly safe around kids (I have 3 young ‘uns myself and Mabel took to the glass on my greenhouse with a hammer one day! All intact although the noise nearly gave me a heart attack).
Marking out the footprint of the greenhouse to get it to fit just right in this corner.
Miriam liked the greenhouses with a porch but the 16.5 ft was too long and we thought could get more than 12ft. This one is 14ft long (4.3m) by 3.5m wide.
Miriam and I made a further couple of changes to the plan at the last minute - adding a raised bed to the inside and having a long cold frame along one wall (rather than 2 small ones either side of the porch).
It was too dark to photograph the finished base (I left at 10pm) but you’ll see it when I return - sorry about that! It does look really nice though honest!
