This one is 9ft by 12ft (2.75m x 3.7m) so it’s not massive but it has vast potential after the clever additions the customer asked me to make. Shirley wanted her greenhouse to have an internal raised bed, cold frames running down both external walls, an extra wide door opening, even a cat flap so it can serve as a shelter when the owners are out - now that’s planning! A proper building site! I’m trying to contain all the mess inside though.

The post may be short but providing useful information. Still I wish to request the admin to share a brief story on cat pet door flap that can help pet owners like me. Without evaluating the pros and cons associated with each kind of door, purchasing one might make you sorry in future.

Thanks for your comment Robin. This was almost 10 years ago now so cat flaps have probably evolved since then but I asked the customer to buy whichever cat flap they wish and installed it through the rear wall. I think they could change the cat flap in the future without much trouble as the hole tends to be standard. Thanks again for your interest. I don't have any admin here - it's a one person company. Kind regards, Robin.

Really interesting read! 🐱🌱 I love how this greenhouse design includes a cat flap so pets can come and go safely, as well as cold frames along the sides for plants. It shows how thoughtful planning can make a greenhouse serve both animal comfort and gardening needs. The practical additions like raised beds and external cold frames are great for extending the growing season and protecting young plants too. Thanks for sharing this creative project, it’s inspiring for anyone thinking about a multifunctional garden space! 🌿🏡
