The rear wall was reinforced with solid concrete blocks on the foundation and I tied the brick work into that.
The cold frame walls are ready on either side of the doorway - and I laid weedblock sheeting and gravel in them as well. The foundations for these walls are to the same spec. as the rest of the build - 1ft deep wet concrete mix with solid concrete blocks laid in. I also added a small raised bed inside the greenhouse - great for growing thirsty plants like tomatoes which need monitoring in pots or grow bags. What a great view and wonderful place. Do you think a 3 ft high brick or concrete blocks with manufactured stone are ok on a greenhouse

Hi Karol, I think either would be fine. The solid base helps to hold the greenhouse down, protecting it from strong winds but all that solid material also acts as a heat sink - warming up through the day and radiating warmth inside the greenhouse through the night. You won't block out much sun at 3ft - the angle of the sun is much higher than that - although some occasional shade is also good and prevent leaf scorch or excessive heat on east plant. The wall helps you hide any messy bags of compost etc too. I hope this helps. I don't claim to be an expert though - just my opinion. Kind regards.

Great greenhouse base. What product have you used for the sills? Are they hollow or solid? Would they take having a timber frame anchored through them into the brickwork?
